 Don’t Give Up! Wait for His Whisper Over Your Life! Rene Parsons May 31, 2019 Thinking that you should be able to handle everything that comes your way will set you up for bewilderment and shame. This mindset could drive you away from God instead of into His arms.
Knowing that Elijah needed help because he had nothing left in him, God sent an angel to attend him. The angel even said, "...Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you" (1 Kings 19:7). Heaven was acknowledging that it was beyond Elijah’s ability to handle it on his own. With provision from God in his time of despair, Elijah was able to travel forty more days and nights! Again, he reached the end of his capacity. Still fleeing a threat on his life, Elijah took shelter, hiding in a cave. There is a point where our faith does hit the wall of our human condition. There IS a limit to our physical, mental and emotional capacity. When you break down and have nothing more to give, it is NOT a failure of your faith! It is what makes you dependent on God. Hebrews 4:15-16 is clear: “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” God is not upset that you can’t handle your difficult situation on your own. You were never meant to because it is through Christ that you can do all things. His concern for you and your situation is great, so great that the Father sent His only Son to Earth so He could empathize with us. He then allowed His Son to be tortured and murdered as He hung on a Cross. He did this all for us. When we get to that point of retreat, delirium and exhaustion, God will show up for us and call us out of our cave, just like He did for Elijah. It won’t always be a neat and tidy transition. God called Elijah, who was already “AT CAPACITY,” right out onto a cliff with a wind, an earthquake, and a fire! The Scripture says that the Lord wasn't in any of it (1 Kings 19:11-12). But then, God showed up in a gentle whisper. He gave Elijah clear direction, instruction, and a plan for the coming season. This included help in the form of an ordained connection with his future successor Elisha. Don’t give up before you hear God’s whisper over your life! Reclaim Your Destiny Victoria Boyson May 29, 2019 I've always thought what James teaches about our Christianity being worthless unless we control our tongue (James 1:26) was just a little too ambitious. Still, James is one of my favorite books of the Bible and one I've studied repeatedly. Yet, I felt recently that in my previous study, I had only scratched the surface of the value of the book of James.
We embrace our Father with our words, we embrace faith with our words, we repel fear with our words, indeed, we embrace all the power in heaven with our words. There is very little we can do to affect the spirit realm that isn't done with our mouths, so naturally we need to learn the power of our tongue, amen? It is because we are made in the image of God that our mouths are so important. Truly, if we want to affect positive change in the world, we will do it through our tongue. Through the declaration of our mouth, we will, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand - to execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones" Psalm 149:6&9. Our authority is in our declaration! James 3:1 says, "Not many should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly." He says this right before he talks about the power of our tongue, so naturally we are to understand that those who teach will be judged more strictly. But we will all bear the weight of the words we say. We will be judged by our own words, for they reveal what's in our heart. "Indeed," he continues, "we all make many mistakes. [But] if we could control our tongues we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way" James 3:2. So important is the work of the tongue that James says once we get control of IT, we've got control of ourselves in "every other way." We can consider this good news or bad. If we lose control of our tongue we will not have control of any other aspect of ourselves or, if we want to think more positively, once we take control of our mouth, we will have great authority to keep ourselves in check. The Father Meant for You to Reign in This Life! What a powerful tool the tongue can be for us! "We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches [takes credit for the work of the whole body] (James 3:3-5 NLT). Just the tiny little tongue can pilot a great ship even during a raging storm. How you choose to use your tongue can determine your life's course. But it is even more than a pilot; it is a great creator - it can create an abundant life for you or destroy your life's work. "But [it's true] a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself" James 3:6 (emphasis mine). Such a small thing can cause great harm or can liberate those bound in darkness! "For whatever is in your heart determines what you say" Matthew 12:34. Your tongue bears the fruit of the heart and harvests the seeds of thoughts you've allowed to root in your mind. The tongue is the sum of your life! All you've poured into your soul through movies, the Word or your actions towards others comes out through your tongue and becomes the fruit of your life. Powerful! If we allow "hell" to establish its beliefs in our mind, it has the kindling to light a fire that could destroy a great forest. Sadly, I've seen this process. The demon offense comes to prime the mind to receive the lies of destruction. If the lies of the enemy are left unaddressed by the heart and Holy Spirit has not been allowed to govern the soul, there is almost nothing that is unimagined by the infected mind. Without repentance, the enemy has gained control of the tongue and will cause great destruction. It hurts to be lied about, but I would rather be slandered than be the slanderer. When a fire spreads, it brings destruction, but when the fire goes out there can be rebirth where destruction's ruined. But in the life and mind of a "fire starter," there's no break from the destructive lives and the more they spread, the darker their life becomes. The enemy will use them as often as he likes, because they've become little more than a tool to him now and extremely effective in harassing the saints. The enemy has no pity for its new toy and usually will harass their mind night and day with even more extravagant, devilish lies. I can't imagine anything more horrible. Except for maybe hell itself, nothing could be a more horrid place to be. Sometimes, when I talk to God about the life of such a one and of the destruction they are causing in the lives of others, He responds with such sadness and a heavy burden saying, "Apart of the penalty for their lies is the life they live" - it is torment of which they receive very little reprieve. As horrible as this sounds, we have to remember that any of us can become a fire starter; it only takes a spark. But, happily, any fire starter can find redemption. Truly! The tongue is powerful and we can easily dig a hole for ourselves with it, but if we do we can, by the grace of God, dig ourselves out with it as well. One declaration at a time! With a heart-felt prayer, our lives can take a new direction. We can conquer the demons who've lied to us and we can become a blessing. If our tongue can be powerfully destructive, it can also transform our lives, how we live and how we think of ourselves. For, "those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness" James 3:18. The seeds of peace are the words you speak! You harness great power when you put a bridle on your tongue, and what great power it is. What a great work it can do! It can make you an extraordinary warrior, triumphant and full of the peace and rest of heaven. Repent and Transform Your Life "If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by living an honorable life" James 3:13. Renew your minds daily, even hourly if that's what it takes - renew, rethink, and reform the thoughts of your mind. You've been given powerful wisdom in the Word to reform the way your mind works. Your faith is a gift - one you can build to become a powerful fire extinguisher. Re-create your life by releasing the truths of heaven through a bridled tongue and you will stave off the destructive powers of your life and suddenly you will have hope for your own future! You have the power to change the world! So, come humbly to your Father with a repentant heart and resist Satan's attempts to control your mind with the lies of hell. Submit yourselves to God and surrender your heart and ask Him for His grace to remake your mind - to reform your thinking and transform your life. It's only in submitting to the Father's will that we can hope to change. He knows what you need to capture your heart and transform your soul, so let Him have His way with you. He works only for your good; you can trust Him. What He takes away He will indeed restore, but it will be His life abundant with His kingdom benefits. Let Him love you and watch what love can do for you, surrender the thoughts in your mind, the hurts and offenses to His feet. Don't hold on to them, don't try to defend yourself or fight your own war - let Him fight for you. Lay it all at His feet as an offering to Him and you will be truly set free - stronger than iron! Become His Love The old you that clung to the worthless things in your life has got to go. Give Him to Jesus and watch how He will be transformed with new life. Your Father is transforming this world. He said, "I am making everything new!" (Revelations 21:5 NLT). That means you too! You Father loves you so much, and He wants to renew your life. For, He is "the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not" (Romans 4:17 NLT). Let Him reNEW your mind, destroying all the strongholds and cleaning out the cobwebs of your mind, pouring in His amazing love! You were truly created for His love. In a very small measure, the Father has revealed to me His great love for humanity. I have tried, but I cannot come up with a way to convey the depth of His love. All human words fall short. His love does not even compare to what we know on earth as love. Our love forgives with great effort, but His love rushes to forgive. Our love tolerates the differences in others, His love celebrates them. Our love tries with great effort not reject, but His love truly accepts every fiber of your human being. How can we fathom His love, our human words and feelings betray us? We do not understand His unconditional love - how could we? If we could see a small revelation of His love for us, we would begin to understand why He gave us the power of life and death in our mouths (Proverbs 18:21). We would understand it's power to transform the dead things of this world into His abundant life - we could reclaim the lost with one word! In this life we are compelled to hate and curse because of the wickedness we see around us, but in His eyes He does not look at the lost and see sin, He sees broken people devastated by darkness. He couldn't hate them if He tried. You don't understand - He IS love. He is not consumed by love, it is who He is - He couldn't be anything but LOVE. So, when He looks at you, He sees you through love and utters a deep guttural cry of great anguish that fills the universe when you are taken away from Him. And there aren't human words that could describe the overwhelming universal transformation that takes place in Him when you return to Him. Your words are not just what we know on earth as life and death, but they are dark and light - good and evil. Your words are what embraces our Father God. Do you love Him? Please tell Him so. The End Is Only the Beginning Dorkita Urdin May 24, 2019 “Remember the old days. For I am God; there is no other. I am God; there are no other gods like Me. From the beginning I declare how things will end; from times long past, I tell what is yet to be, saying: “My intentions will come to pass. I will make things happen as I determine they should…It won’t be long until I make things right. My salvation is getting closer and closer; it won’t be delayed. I am ready to rescue Zion, My chosen place, and display My beauty and splendor to Israel, My chosen people.” Isaiah 46: 9-10, 13 (VOICE)
I wrote this during September of last year in my journal and lately I keep feeling led to also share it here. I pray it speaks confirmation and encouragement to someone today. “And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time... …And all shall be well and All manner of thing shall be well When the tongues of flames are in-folded Into the crowned knot of fire And the fire and the rose are one.” T. S. Elliot, “Little Gidding” I keep getting the sense of people coming full circle through much change, endings and transition in this season. Through the choppy waters of transition many are getting positioned for their new season during these days and I keep hearing God saying to them to “take heart” because much of the changes they are undergoing God is using to position them for favor ahead. There is a rekindling of His Fire and His Children are emerging like full-blooming roses burning with the fire of His Spirit and releasing His Fragrance of Salvation, Deliverance, and Healing everywhere their feet takes a step. I hear the Father saying, “My Child, let not your heart grow weary and despair at all that is ending and coming to a close, because just like a seed that comes to the end of itself to sprout out roots and stems, so what looks like the end is only the beginning. You have come full circle—not at the bottom where you started, but at the top, arriving to the same place you started but coming to know and understand the journey, the purpose, and the value of things you have gone through—for the first time. What this means is that, just like Joseph becoming regent over the land where he first became a slave, you are stepping out on an elevated position. The enemies you have faced emotionally, spiritually, circumstantially, and even physically you are about to see no more. There is a crashing down of all walls and a breaking down of old cycles by My Spirit. "Hear the sound of chains falling down and embrace the new-found freedom and the heightened discernment and wisdom I have poured within you through it all as you step ahead. No matter how the changes look, remember to trust in My Mercy, trust in My Deep Love for you: I am positioning My Children for favor, for growth, for elevation. This is a day, a year, a season of TRUST for you, My Beloved. See open doors and open arms ahead, even as I bring you to a time of healing that brings down barriers within yourself that kept you entrenched in cycles of self-sabotage and stagnation. Yield to the work of My Hand in your heart. The work I am doing in your heart during this time is about to yield a bountiful harvest of Hope for you and the many I have put in your life ahead! Be adaptable, be flexible, be receptive to My Voice! "I am showing you the firm, secure things I have ordained for you to continue to invest yourself in this new season. Take heart and rejoice! Whatever comes to an end or gets redefined in your life by My Hand will usher a new reign of My Peace in your life. Whatever goes will usher in a new refreshing freedom and joy in your life! No baggage into the new season! Says the Lord. Everything that doesn't fit the criteria for growth that has been exposed as weighing down and holding you back is being cut off or redefined to bring in a fresh new glowing health and growth to the garden of your life. This is a time of clean slates and balance for you in every area of your life: in your emotions, in your relationships, in your situations, in any and every area where you have desperately needed and sought it from Me. "Don’t let your heart be overwhelmed or be weary, there is a fresh new joy that comes by My Hand with this. Like a master gardener, I am fixing the imbalances in your life. I am bringing you to a place of wholeness where you won’t feel either overdrawn or needy, but be at a place to give and receive on different levels in the wholesome, healthy ways I have designed for you to do. I am bringing My Bride to a place of divine reciprocity where every joint supplies, because that is the place where much fruit is produced! So fear not the pruning, the changes that feel uncomfortable at first, for through all that gets cut back or redefined there will be such divine joy and peace overflowing you as you begin to see the divine picture begin to come into clearer focus! "I am bringing you a time of productivity and growth and filling you with a heightened sense of discernment to detect stagnation and veer toward the things I have designed for your life to remain in a perpetual state of fruitfulness. You are being positioned for mission, calling, purpose! No more business as usual for you My Child! Business as usual is ending and there is a thrust coming to propel you into the Kingdom building mindset, where even when you don’t understand the bigger purpose you will be drawn to listen and heed My Voice in your life. And, oh, what a joy that will be to you! "This is a time to be freed more fully into the authenticity of who I made you to be! No more fear, no more fear, no more fear! My Child, do you know that you are the EXACT answer to the prayer of desperation prayed by somebody’s heart? What you have and how I made you to be is EXACTLY what someone else needs. You are the Deborah, the Gideon, the Esther, the David raised up for such a time as this! So, heed not criticism, even the internal ones you tell yourself. This is your time to arise and hear My Voice and do what you see Jesus do. "Fear not you will not know what road to take, because My Clarity is dawning and the fog is lifting upon your life, even though I might not reveal every step at once. I will download Divine Strategies for supernatural outcomes as you step into the new beginnings I have prepared for you ahead. Take heart and enter your new season of TRUST ahead! Lift up your eyes! Know, that at the end of it all, I am redeeming the time! I am redeeming the seasons! I am redeeming the pain! I am redeeming the brokenness! The stones of past failures are being removed and the closed wells of your forefathers are being dug anew to give way to fountains of living water from the Rock. I am redeeming everything the cankerworm and the locusts stole from you! "I will give you new strategies and revelation and fill you to the brim with My Wisdom as you step ahead. I will be a lamp unto your feet. I will show you My right timing and reveal the you the seasons to bring you through every river and every mountain ahead. You are about to see the wonders of how the economy of My Kingdom works, so Trust Me My Child! Trust Me! You are coming full circle, not at the bottom where you started, but at the top, knowing the big divine vision of the journey I have set you up in and coming to see in awe the wonders of My Greater Plan for the first time. Open doors and open arms ahead for you! Fear not the end, for every end is only the beginning for you! Brace yourself: My Resurrection Power is about to hit your life with might and power! What you are about to experience ahead is beyond limited human understanding, but watch and see My Wonders as you do in obedience to My Voice: see resources multiplied, fruit being bore in exceeding abundance, and the building blocks and foundations of a durable legacy being built and firmly laid down, not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit!” says the Lord. Were You Born in a Barn? In the Days Ahead, Many Will Answer, "Yes I Was!" Kathi Pelton May 23, 2019 For the past few weeks, I have become aware of something that is happening, even now, regarding “a barn revival.” Some are calling the worship and prayer times in these barns, “a barn burn."
In my hometown of Santa Rosa, California many in the church would meet in a beautiful, local barn to worship and pray and listen to voices such as Heidi Baker and Georgian Banov. As a matter of fact, my daughter Amy and her husband Luke were married on this property and their wedding reception was held in that very barn. But in 2017 a firestorm hit the region and the entire property, including this barn was burned. It was a great loss. Since that time, every time I talk about this event and say that the barn burned I then begin to hear the verse from Isaiah 61:3, “...to grant to those who mourn in Zion — to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” I’ve sensed that there would be a beautiful restoration that would come from the ashes of even this one barn that became ashes. Beauty will rise from the ashes of devastation in many lives, cities and nations. A barn raising will happen and the fire of God will fall, bringing great restoration! Then, I began to see visions of people telling other people, “I was born in a barn!” I realized that they were speaking of being “born again” in a barn. Just as our Savior was born in a barn and laid in a manger, many will come from afar, like the wisemen who followed the star, to find the Savior of the world in a barn once again. They will be born in a barn because they did not find “room in the inn (church).” I believe that there will be barns all across America that will release the sound of worship, the sound of prayer and the sound of the revelation of the good news. Light will come forth from these barns like a star in the sky that leads many to find Jesus there. Both the saved and unsaved will come. Those whose lives have been in ashes will come; the hopeless, the weary, the sick and the lost will come, and as they hear the sound they will see their Savior. Beauty and salvation will come forth from the ashes and the fire of the Holy One will come like a second Pentecost upon all who gather. The name of the Lord will be heard throughout the land and those who would never step into a church will come to these barns because of the light and the sound. They will find healing for their weary souls and they will leave these barns like young calves set free from the stalls. “But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” (Malachi 4:2) Many will be born in these barns! We will even see the Church gather to raise barns once again. Unity will come even from the times of preparing barns and community will be formed around these barns. John 17:21 is where we read Jesus’ prayer for us to be one in the same way that the Father, Son and Spirit are one, and these barns will become a place of oneness! They will be like a womb where many are birthed and new life comes forth. There will be barns on fire but they will burn with the fire of God that lights up the sky and calls many home. The harvest will be gathered in the barns and the angels will gather to sing, “Glory to God in the highest, and peace and goodwill toward mankind." Do You Think God Makes Idle Promises? Cassandra Boyson May 21, 2019 “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11 MSG
Has God given you a promise? Has He revealed a destiny that seems out of reach? Do you think He made you and then thought, "Well, that would be nice if they could maybe do that - that would be a good possibility?” Or do you understand that you were created and born FOR that purpose - that the destiny He purposed for you is actually the only thing you were born to do. If you did that and nothing else, He would say, "Well done good and faithful servant." My Testimony Years ago, God revealed my ultimate destiny to me. But as time passed, it felt so big, faraway and impossible. Eventually, I took the promise and turned it into a possibility, that maybe if I could be good enough to get there... someday, in my old age... I might see half of it. Even later, I turned the promise into smaller, more achievable promises and put His stamp of approval on it. I decided that was what He’d meant all along. But at the time He’d revealed it to me, I knew exactly what He meant. One day, He hit me with, "Do you think I make idle promises?" Since then, He's been working to help me realize my identity. But so has Satan. They're sort of fighting over me. Every girl's dream (kidding). Even so, God fights to reveal to me who I currently am in Him, not who I just might be someday. And when I gave up on myself in past, He never did. Stealthily, He continued his work in me to the point I look back and can't believe He had the grace to do such work in me when I wasn't even focused on racing after Him. What's more interesting is that when I wasn't giving Him my all, my full focus, my love for him continued to grow. I think that comes from the very fact I knew I wasn't being very faithful... but I continued to see His faithfulness. I realize now He actually centered my life in Him as much as he was able even without my help. He didn't leave me alone. He made me obsessed with Him despite myself. He wooed me until He'd won me, and when He won me, it was forever. Now, I think about him and I cry. I try to talk about Him sometimes and find myself speechless in all He is. Your Testimony If you really stole a moment to look at your life, many would see a similar pattern. Perhaps you haven't given Him all you should, but when you look deep down, He was continuing to pursue you. He wouldn't let you forget Him. Moreover, no matter how distracted you became, His promise to you was not idle. And if you are not yet aware of His plans for you, assume they’re at least twice as big as you imagine. Then, do both Him and yourself a favor and just give in. Believe in the promise. Throw over the distractions of this world and give Him your all - all the free time you have, all the heart you have, all the strength you think you possess of yourself, all the counterfeit dreams. Lay it all down before Him. Ask Him to guide and use you, to up your training regime so you can pass into the higher calling He desires for you. It's Time to Strike the Ground! Sylvia Neusch May 16, 2019 Recently the Lord has been speaking to me from the story of Elisha and King Johoash in 2 Kings 13:16. In the story, Elisha was sick and would soon die from the illness. But, he had one more prophetic assignment or act to be a part of before leaving the earth. This was not just any act, but a very strategic prophetic act that carries significance for us even today.
In reading through the stories of the Bible, it becomes clear that God uses people who are willing to engage with him in seemingly "foolish" acts to accomplish His purposes and will. In this story we find a king and an old prophet shooting arrows out a window. But, their faith along with their obedience to perform the prophetic acts had the potential to shift things in the spiritual atmosphere over a nation. In 2 Kings 13:15-19 the story unfolds: "Elisha said, "Get a bow and some arrows," and he did so. "Take the bow in your hands," When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king's hands. "Open the east window," he said, and he opened it. "Shoot!" Elisha said, and he shot. "The LORD's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!" Elisha declared. "You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek." Then he said, "Take the arrows," and the king took them. Elisha told him, "Strike the ground." He struck it three times and stopped. The man of God was angry with him and said "You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times." As I have meditated on this story the Lord highlighted to me that we have entered a season where following the prophetic directives He gives us will be extremely important. It is time to STRIKE THE GROUND with the declarations of Heaven that will bring change and shift atmospheres. Notice that Elisha placed his hands on the king's hands before he released the first arrow. Then, after the king shot the arrow, Elisha released his powerful declaration of victory. I believe Elisha was releasing a prophetic grace and impartation at that time so that the arrow would hit the mark. This is a valuable insight for our prayers and declarations as well. As we hear from Heaven, operating under a prophetic grace, our words will release that same grace as they go forward like arrows to hit the mark. But, we also have to notice the second part of the story where Elisha instructs King Jehoash to now strike the ground with the arrows. The king had just heard Elisha make the declaration of victory over Aram as he shot the first arrow into the air. Then, as the prophet instructed him to strike the ground with the arrows, he struck three arrows towards the ground and then stopped. We now know that he should have discerned and sensed what the prophet had asked him to do, and the significance of the act. It was, in fact, an ancient custom to shoot an arrow or spear into the country or area that an army was planning to attack. It was really a declaration of intent of battle. It was a declaration of intent to take new territory. In light of this, it is even more surprising then that the king failed to follow through on the prophetic act with faith and discernment. I feel God is wanting to speak through this story to encourage us to go the distance in this new era with hearing His voice and following through to the full extent without excuses or delay. It also stood out to me that the king didn't go back and try to shoot the arrows later after receiving the rebuke from Elisha. He had lost the moment evidently and there would be no gaining that back. Though we are now under a covenant of grace, we are not to take advantage of that grace by delaying obedience, but instead, quickly obeying the promptings of His voice. As we have transitioned into a new era it is imperative that our thinking and mode of operation shifts with what God is shifting. Many times in the past few months I have felt the Holy Spirit reminding me to not believe with preconceived mindsets or see with the lenses of the past season. He is calling us to step into a new realm of faith, authority, seeing, and believing Him for the impossible to be accomplished. We must raise our expectations to believe and partner with Him for more! He is doing a BRAND NEW thing! "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:23-24. I also hear the Lord saying, "I am adding weight to your words. Your words carry the power of life or death, so choose wisely what you speak and release. As you come into agreement with My plans and strategies there will be power and momentum released as you declare in rhythm with Heaven. Be silent no more! Strike the ground! Believe that you are powerful and step into the fulfillment of prophetic promises spoken long ago. Sanctify your tongue unto Me so that only praises flow from your mouth and not curses. Walk in forgiveness daily so that your arrows remain sharp and none will fall to the ground. I am advancing in the earth and together we will take new territory for the Kingdom of Light. Will You Be a Steward for the High Calling of God? Faith Marie Baczko May 14, 2019 For every dispensation of time, the saints are called forth to the stewardship of that time, ensuring that God's will is accomplished and His intentions fulfilled. Paul declared in Colossians 1:25, "I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God..."
The word "stewardship" in the Greek is oikonomia. It is a word related to the stewardship and management of God's economy. For those chosen to be born and live in these fullness of times – in the "Day of His Power" – the call to ministry is the high call of stewarding and administering the life of Christ in the fullness of the power and authority intended by the Lord. The Bible highlights the many great leaders and saints who lived out this principle. God raises up certain people for certain times, and prepares and equips them to administer His blueprint for that period. Joshua was one of God's most trustworthy and faithful leaders, raised up to cause the people of God to conquer and possess the Promised Land. Joshua 24:31 is testimony of his great leadership: "Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua..." There are strategic assignments to be accomplished for every season. Keys are being brought forth by God to crank the engine that drives and directs our movement on the journey of ascension to Christ, toward the completion of His divine plan. Every objective of God in every dispensation is a vital and crucial part to His unfolding plan. Each becomes a part of the momentum that moves history forward toward the climax of times at the end of the age. "....In all wisdom and insight, He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him." (Ephesians 1:8-10) The word "administration" in this passage is translated as "dispensation," and also as "stewardship" in other translations. It is the same word, oikonomia, that was spoken of earlier in Colossians 1:25. In the context of this passage, it refers to God's administration, or stewardship, of a certain period of history which Paul described as "the fullness of times." This passage also takes into account the Lord's servants who are appointed to partner with Him in this administration, to carry out His will and execute His campaign with authority. Ephesians 1:10 (ESV) describes it as, "...a plan for the fullness of time..." God will have an administration suitable for this dispensation, tailored and equipped to meet the challenges of the times – this is our destiny. It is therefore necessary to God's interests that we: understand the dynamics of the times; God's intentions for the times; know the framework and boundaries of the times; the enemy's limits within the times (Daniel 7:25); and receive directions and tactical assignments to implement the plan of God. The prophets of Israel were called forth as stewards of "the oracles of God" (1 Peter 4:11 KJV) and witnesses to the world of the living God. They lived supernatural lives functioning in gifts and abilities sourced from another realm. This present hour, the saints prepared and brought forth to serve God will be a unique people, bold and courageous, who stand resolute, tethered to Him by humility and the fear of the Lord. They are called forth for the stewardship of a unique season of fullness, when everything has matured to its fullness – both good and evil – the season of harvest! The High Calling of God The responsibility to execute this stewardship is authorized by a walk of integrity and faithfulness to "the Call," and undergirded by a resolution of unwillingness to compromise or capitulate. To such a heart is the high call of God given. These saints will be moving in heightened discernment and in the fullness of the administration of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They will be a people who have attained the full glory of sonship the Father intended; a people conformed to the image of the Son. Philippians 3 is a passage written by Paul toward the end of his life. In it, he shares his great longing to know Christ at a deeper and higher level in the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings: "Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:12-14) Paul's words reveal that he was pressing on to attain to something far greater than he had thus far experienced in his life – he was pressing on for more! This was captured in his cry to apprehend the fullness for which Christ had apprehended him. Paul referred to this prize as the "high calling of God." What is the high call of God? It seems clear that Paul's desire was not simply that of a literal resurrection from the dead, confirmed by his words, "Not as though I had already attained..." In the Greek language, the words "high call," or "upward call," mean a mandate and an invitation to come up higher. The definition of the word "high" adds further light as to Paul's intent. High: "passing above the normal level; great, or greater than normal, in quantity or intensity." Can't You Talk Louder, God? Some might say that Paul was moving in great signs and wonders, however, the cry of Paul's hearts shows that there is much, much more for us to experience in God. Paul was straining, pressing and reaching forward for this prize, to grasp and lay hold of the fullness of his inheritance in Christ. There is a coming level of resurrection power that is going to be released – in its fullness within the saints – that extends far above what we have yet seen. Paul's goal was reaching for the prize of the high call of knowing Christ in this level of resurrection power. The Power of His Resurrection Paul prayed that the saints would also know this great power and understand the possibilities of what embracing their true identity as sons of God meant for their lives, and consequently for the world. "[T]he eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places..." (Ephesians 1:18-20) Resurrection power is the new dynamic and DNA of saints born again in Christ. We are now supernatural beings by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, as the Scriptures clearly show: "Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men." (Matthew 9:8) "Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high." (Luke 24:49) God's Superheroes The disciples lived a life in demonstration of this indwelling power, administering it in the boldness and courage granted by the Holy Spirit. The Old Testament provides many accounts of those who served God displaying His power. For example, Moses, in the power of God, parted the Red Sea. Elijah parted the river Jordan and stopped the rain from falling for three years. Both he and Elisha with the help of angel armies accomplished many supernatural feats and miracles. In battle Joshua asked God to turn back time and it was granted. As a Man, Jesus walked the earth displaying marvelous, supernatural power. He healed the sick of all diseases and raised the dead. He walked on water and commanded the storm to be still, demonstrating power over all natural elements. Yet, Jesus declared to His followers that they would do greater works than He did. Jesus' words became a reality for the disciples, who began moving out in signs and wonders, in supernatural power, in the gifts of healing, in wisdom and in foreknowledge of events; some even raised people from the dead. Phillip, a disciple, traveled from one city to another supernaturally: "When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the Gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea." (Acts 8:39-40) Supernatural Power As preparation for moving in the high call of God, I heard the Lord say the word "hone." To "hone" the gifts and skills given to us means to: sharpen as blade; refine or perfect something; honing skills; give greater strength or firmness to the body, or a part of the body. Corinthians 12:7-11 declares that we have each been given power that functions through nine gifts administered in the power of the Spirit of God. In the fullness of time, God will have a people of superior, supernatural prowess, moving in the powers of the age to come, above the normal or average level. These are the sons of God the earth is travailing to bring forth: "...who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God and the powers of the coming age" (Hebrews 6:5). The Clash of Two Kingdoms The clash of kingdoms will be dramatic as God releases His own superheroes prepared for the hour, warriors whose faces are set, sons of Zion raised up to war against the "sons of Greece." Their God has made them like "...the sword of a mighty man. The LORD will be seen over them" (Zechariah 9:13-14a). For the fullness of time, our God-given, supernatural gifts will be released to function at a much higher level than even seen in Scripture. A new breed will emerge fashioned for the challenge of the climax of history. It is time for the saints of God to get the revelation of the power and great treasure that resides within them through Christ – "Christ in you the hope of glory." The high call of God is attainment unto glory! "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us..." (Ephesians 3:20) The day of the culmination of all things is the "Day of His Power," when the saints volunteer freely, the leaders lead courageously and willingly, and Heaven invades planet Earth with the glory of the Christ. Of this day, as the armies of Heaven march in unison with God's army on Earth to take the Promised Land, it will be said, as it was said of Israel when they gathered corporately to advance into the land: "The shout of a King was among them." That King is Jesus! God is calling the saints to be bold, to come up higher into the upward and high call of God, and to take our positions in the battle against evil. From "White Witchcraft" to Lovesick Warriorship! Cassandra Boyson May 10, 2019 "…don’t try to use any kind of magic or witchcraft to tell fortunes or to cast spells…” Deut. 18:10-11
Since when did having anything to do with tarot cards and witchcraft become acceptable for Christians? Never! Yet, the use of crystals from fortunetellers, predictions through tarot cards and even the use of actual witchcraft are issues some Christians have compromised on. It’s a trend. And we have to ask ourselves from where it stems. Could it be entertainment such as the series about young wizards that remains in popularity? Hasn’t the rise of this entertainment given way to much darkness in the plane of fictional story over all? And is this the culture we want to pass on to the coming generations? I get it. I had Harry Potter books read to me by my public school teacher in fourth grade. They feel awfully harmless. They’re charming. They’re children’s books written by a gifted woman. But when someone says a story was delivered as if by voices… one has to ask from where those voices came, and whether that author’s talent was hijacked without her realizing. The problem is that witchcraft (you might want to take a seat) …exists. It’s REAL. As Christians, we must guard ourselves from celebrating it in any way. One has only to come face to face with the real-life effects to realize we want nothing whatever to do with it. Moreover, it opens spiritual doors for the enemy to attack us in any form he chooses, often in tactics we don’t expect. So, if you happen to find yourself in possession of anything having to do with witchcraft, I find this biblical statement to be quite potent: “Some who had been practicing witchcraft even brought their books and burned them…” Acts 19:19. Entertainment Addiction and a Call to Devotion Along with the current entertainment epidemic came this desensitization. We have shallow passion and little conviction. We don't feel things like we should because we drown our emotions in the distraction of entertainment media, much of which actually opens doors to demonic spirits. When we guard ourselves from a full spectrum of emotions that were created by God, many become deaf and dumb to the voice of the Holy Spirit and our own consciences. Yet, in Ezra chapters 9 and 10, Ezra discovered the Israelites had been living like the foreign people around them, were guilty of "horrible sins" and were disobeying God by marrying outside their people. His response was to rip his clothes, tear out his hair and weep bitterly. He literally sat in shock for hours while people gathered around him to mourn their sins. When he finally stirred, it was to call the people to make amends for what they’d done. In a turning back to God, they actually sent their wives and children who possessed foreign blood away! I don't love the idea of their being cast off like that, but the high point is how deeply the people were convicted of their sin and how drastically they chose to make amends. God's devoted ones are to MOURN sin, be drawn to repentance and seek to obey and submit to Him at the deepest levels, no matter the cost. CHRISTIANS WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE COMPROMISERS! We are meant to be lovesick warriors of Christ who reign on the earth with conviction and power that comes from the closest intimacy with Father God - intimacy that comes from clinging to Him through the hardest sacrifices and the most perilous fires. Like aliens in this world, we must remember that we are a people set apart. It’s why, if we live the way Jesus called us, we don’t seem to fit in anywhere – often not even with other Christians. But after all, Jesus asked that we take up our cross and follow in His footsteps… that we DENY ourselves daily. This is a lifestyle of the deepest devotion and is the only road that will lead to the manifestation of ultimate destiny. If we want peace, we don’t turn to crystals. We turn to God. If we want to move in supernatural power, we abandon our flesh daily so our spirit will grow in the power of the Holy Spirit. We let God lead us through battles, trials and fires and we cling to Him through it all so we may be proven trustworthy of a higher calling. There’s no adventure like living a life of total, yearning devotion to God. But adventure isn’t truly adventurous without adversity. For that matter, heroes aren’t born without it. If we do not allow ourselves to experience the shame of our compromise, how will we become the victorious overcomers in Revelation 12:11, who love not their lives even unto death? And if we stifle our emotions, how can we be rightly lovesick for the One Who calls us? Jesus isn’t an accessory. He’s meant to be everything. Therefore, we do not pick and choose from Christianity and blend it with fortune-tellers, crystals and witchcraft. We choose Him and only Him, every day. Then and only then will we stand a chance at moving in the supernatural power Jesus promised! First Annual Christian Witches Convention The day after writing this, I learned there was, in April 2019, a first annual Christian witches convention. The threat to the salvation of Christians is real. I would love to say we all read and understand the bible enough to not be deceived by something like this... but that simply isn't always the case. We must be careful of what spiritual doors we open in our lives and those of our children and we must read the bible daily. Assuredly, we must pray without ceasing, pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ so that no one falls behind or drops out of the race (Eph. 6:18).
