See Beyond! There Are No Limits on this Season! Karen Dee Hardin February 28, 2018 What if money and time were not an issue? What would you do?
That is a question I often ask in training sessions I give. But it is also a word about this season. I sense the Lord saying, "Whatever you ask, I will do." We know that is a Biblical truth, but this season is special—different. The only limits on this season are what we put on it. The Lord often speaks to me in real life scenarios, more so than dreams. I've had two such instances recently that reveal the importance of sight. What we can see we can possess in this season. Seeing Half Whenever something "weird" happens in my life, I've learned to ask if there is a deeper meaning. That happened this past week. I was having difficulty reading my computer screen. I picked up a book and the same thing. The words were not clear. "Oh no! My vision has shifted," I thought to myself. I reached up to adjust my contact and immediately realized there was no contact in my 'reading' eye. (One eye is corrected for reading and the other for distance.) Now that was bizarre because I distinctly remembered putting the contacts in that morning. I went to my contact case and sure enough, no contact was in it. But there was definitely not one in my eye either and none to be found anywhere near where I put it in. I've worn contacts for years and never had a contact just "disappear" like that. "Are you trying to say something to me?" I asked the Lord as I dialed the optician to order a new one. "Yes," I sensed Him say. "You're only seeing half." I also knew He meant more than just my ability to see at that particular moment. I was only seeing half. But half of what? What was I missing? Switch Your Lens and See What He Sees I continued to pray into that for the next week until I had another weird situation arise. After getting ready for the day, I went downstairs to make breakfast for my son and get him off to school. I looked at the clock and it was blurry. By now, I had received the replacement contact and so BOTH contacts were in my eyes. Yet the clock was blurry. Oh brother! "You need to switch your lens," I heard the Spirit speak to my heart. I went back upstairs and popped my contacts out and switched which eye they were in (yeah that hasn't ever happened before either), and immediately my vision was clear again. And that's when I began to get it. Later that day as I sat with Him, the realization of what He was speaking became even more clear and it is what I share with you now. This is a season like no other, but we must switch the lens we are viewing from to see what He sees. We must see things from His sight rather than our own. In order to see the full picture, not just half, we have to see what He sees. He says, "Switch the lens from how you view things and see from My lens. Take the lid off. Whatsoever things you ask for, I will do. It's simply up to you to ask. The only limits are what you put on this season. If you can see it, you can possess it. Come up higher and see from My perspective." We know this was true of Joshua and Caleb as they went as spies into the Promised Land. They saw the land the way God saw it—a land flowing with milk and honey. It was a GOOD land, because God gives us good things. Yes, there were giants (there are always giants), but He was giving them an invitation to possess. Joshua and Caleb chose to see with His eyes. The rest of the spies saw from a natural point of view. Possessing the land would be impossible. They didn't have enough...and we can fill in the blank there because, isn't that where we often stop? We don't have enough money, energy, knowledge, insight, power, ability...to overcome the giants standing in our way. But no matter what giant stands in your way, this is not the time to walk away. As Far As You Can See and Beyond...is Yours Then He led me to the following verses: "The land you're about to enter is a land with hills and valleys, watered by rain from the sky. It is a land the Lord your God cares about. He watches over it all year long." (Deuteronomy 11:11-12) "I will give you every place on which you set foot. Your borders will be from the desert to Lebanon, from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. (Deuteronomy 11:24) Verse 24 casts the vision of the borders that surround His gift to us...from the desert to Lebanon, from Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. What He is saying is, "I'm giving this to you as far as you can see and beyond." That is His word to us in this season. What can you see? What is He showing you in the eyes of the spirit? Will you take hold of that dream and vision He has set before you? Or will you overlook it and say, "I wish, but there is no way." For some it is a business (I truly sense there is much in the way of business He wants to do in this season to release wealth. If that is you, take hold of that now). For others a home or land, or new job, relationships restored, or a dream that has been in your heart which He has brought back to the forefront. Right now, He is breathing on things that have been dormant and blowing the breath of His Spirit into it. He is planting new vision in your heart and mind. You have woken up from sleep—seeing it or driving down the road and it passes through your mind. Don't let it slip away. He is planting those seeds for you to take hold of them. He is wanting us to STRETCH. "Expand the space of your tent. Stretch out the curtains of your tent, and don't hold back. Lengthen your tent ropes, and drive in the tent pegs. You will spread out to the right and left. Your descendants will take over other nations, and they will resettle deserted cities." (Isaiah 54:2-3) What would you do if money and time were not an issue? What dream and vision dances in your head and heart? What is the Lord speaking to you right now? Don't let this season pass without taking hold of it. The only limits on this season are the ones we place on it. This is an invitation and His hand is extended to us. He is calling us higher to see from His perspective...to all who are willing. Karen Dee Hardin www.karenhardin.com Karen Hardin is an author, minister and literary agent. Victoria Boyson February 27, 2018 As My children, you are the reigning power of the universe and have authority to administrate MY JUSTICE! I've prepared this hour for you!
As you decree and declare My miraculous power, do NOT shy away from declaring the Gospel of My Son to the nations! Declare BOLDLY My love for MANKIND! Though the darkness rages against you, DO NOT FEAR! As you stand for My love, you may feel small and vulnerable, but I will give you the words to speak that will disarm the hostility of the darkness. For they are truly hungry and will be moved by your persistence to win them. Your steps will be sure and certain for you have only My strength to save you from their wrath. Every step they take toward you with the intent to destroy you will cool the hatred that possesses them. Do not respond to their anger, but reveal to them who they truly are as I give you the words to speak. They think they are coming after you because they hate you, but really I am sending them to you because they are so lost in the emptiness of their stolen heart and the wounds created from living in darkness. Remember they have been lied to and they, too, have been told they are someone they are not. They've felt noble in their hatred of you. It's become their dark purpose and has even come to define what they believe is their existence. As you begin to tell them who they really are and the purposes they were created for, you will begin to see for yourself the purposes for which I've destined you to fulfill. You will discover the answers you were looking for. I will make it obvious to you; you will not miss it. I've given you My love for them and this love is your armor to defend against the hostility that holds them captive. You can trust My love; it will melt their defensiveness. As their heart is restored to them, the hunger for the light that is hidden inside them will emerge and the darkness that has encased them will fall away. Even you will be surprised by what you will see in them, their humanity will come forth and take your breath away. Lana Vawser February 26, 2018 This morning I felt the Lord speaking about areas of the lives of believers where there has been continual lack of breakthrough and a real "tug of war", "back and forth" in seeing manifested breakthrough.
Those areas where it seems to get better, but then it goes back to how it was, so there's really never any "complete and TOTAL breakthrough" and that "tug of war" and "back and forth" has seen despair enter into the hearts of many. The level of despair I saw within hearts in these areas were deep, and the pain and sadness was deep. A cry from the heart of His people rising up full of thankfulness for who He is, and for His marvellous works, but also a sense of despair that maybe their breakthrough will never come in this area, or God doesn't want to bring breakthrough. These areas of despair have really caused some deep heartache and many are living in these areas in the place of Proverbs 13:12: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life." Many are struggling to "hope again" in these areas. To "believe again", to "have faith again". That's where I saw our beautiful Jesus step in. He stepped in with His encouragement, comfort and strength as He whispered: "The area where you have despaired, I am now about to bring about a great divine repair." There is going to be a great move of the Holy Spirit in your heart and your circumstance where the Lord is going to bring about a great divine repair. These areas where despair has broken your heart, the Lord is coming to heal your broken heart. Jesus came to bring freedom for the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18 - The Passion Translation) and these areas that have broken your heart in despair are about to be freed, healed and repaired. Look Again The Lord showed me that many who have been in this place of despair they have been "looking again" and "looking again" in faith for such a long time, to see if the breakthrough has come or begun, but have become tired of looking again, because there has been seemingly no movement. I heard the Holy Spirit say "LOOK AGAIN" and there was a DOUBLE INVITATION in these words. I felt the invitation SO strongly from the heart of the Father to "LOOK AGAIN" but look again in HIS PERSPECTIVE. Ask Him how HE sees the situation, and LOOK AGAIN through His eyes. He's coming to repair and restore but He's bringing a greater alignment in the people of God regarding vision, to see as He sees. "LOOK AGAIN" and as you see from the higher perspective HOPE will be breathed back into your heart again. I then felt the Holy Spirit inviting His people as they keep their faces like a flint towards Jesus and how He sees, as you look at the situation again through His eyes, as your gaze has been intentionally focused upon His perspective, I felt the Lord say "LOOK AGAIN at the situation" and you will soon see the SHIFT has begun. Don't give up! You really are closer to a finality of breakthrough regarding these situations than you realize. Your Dream of Destiny Fulfilled Jo Ellen Stevens February 23, 2018 Psalms 105:17-18 (AMPC) “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant. His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,”
“Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true, until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free. He made Joseph lord of his house and ruler of all his substance, To bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his elders wisdom.” When Your Soul Entered the Irons As the Lord unfolded this word before me the first thing that the Holy Spirit Highlighted was “he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron.” The Lord began to speak “Many of My people’s souls (mind, will, and emotions) have “ENTERED INTO THE IRON” These chains represent the process that they have been through and the pain that they have felt through this testing time. This pain has entered into their souls and even though in your process, “they hurt your feet with fetters”, even though they hurt your walk with their chains of judgement, criticism, and religion, your words are about to come true to your brothers that hated you and put you into the situation! Your dream that I gave you in the beginning will now come to the forefront and what they didn’t know is that what they meant for bad is about to thrust you into your destiny as the King comes and sets you free! Forgive and I Will Bless You Double for Your Trouble! “You thought that they threw you in but what they meant for bad is bringing you into your destiny! Forgive them and you will see promotion come swiftly! When My servant Job went through his process his friends accused him and thought that I was punishing him but these are the those that Job forgave in the end, THEN WHEN HE FORGAVE HIS FRIENDS I BLESSED HIM AND GAVE HIM DOUBLE FOR HIS TROUBLE for the loss that he had incurred in the process! The First Shall Be Last and the Last First Yes, these chains that have entered into your soul are being removed in this season and truly that which was in you that has bound you and held you back in the past, will now be the catapult that will thrust you into destiny! It will be the catapult to bring you into positions to save alive even those who hated you! It will catapult you into a place of instructing those who many considered wise and I say to you that the last shall be first in this hour and the first last! THEY SHALL CALL YOU THE PRIESTS OF THE LORD AND MINISTERS OF YOUR GOD!” Isaiah 61:6 “But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours.” Jo Ellen Stevens www.dstevens7.wixsite.com/tcic Jo Ellen Stevens is a prophetic speaker, author, worship leader, and intercessor from Connersville, Indiana. Babies, in many ways, are born fresh and clean, like a blank slate. Until they learn otherwise (which is not our Father's design), they inherently trust. So, they are expecting that what their parents (caregivers, teachers, adults) tell them is true. They expect that what they are feeling is true. Words are said from the negatives (lack of knowledge, teasing, anger, frustration, etc.) that are not "true" according to our Father's eternal truth of love for each person. Our Father's ancient enemy manipulates words and uses them to create negative feelings in children that feel true (shame, guilt, unloved, rejected, embarrassment, fear). Those early perceptions create neuropath connections in the child's organic brain as well as imprints in their spirit and soul. These affect their bodies (and form weak places, or exaggerate generational weak places, where sickness can attach). Thus, they learn and grow with many "untrue" negative wirings running the software in their lives. And without an interruption of this negative flow, this "colors" and arrests their subsequent development. This is the process with each person. Though we may be many years away from childhood ourselves. (It's what's interrupting the positive flow in our children, too.) Until the Holy Spirit helps us see, deal, and heal from those connections we made, as children, with the negatives (untruths), then they continue to interrupt the positive flow of life He designed us to have. Crises are one major way the Lord Jesus Christ interrupts the "natural flow" of our life, to clean out the negatives and to restore us to His positive flow in the Father. There are some crises we just have to hold on to Him and move through. . .but, there is an easier way, if we'll give the Lord our full attention! Easier way to flip the switch to "true" thoughts: 1. Realize--there are negatives I've "bonded" with as a result of being a human in a fallen world. BECAUSE I am loved and my Father has an enemy. 2. Recognize--the Holy Spirit is at work in my life to bring me to a place of positive flow, and it will go faster if I work with Him, not against Him as HE IS ON MY SIDE. 3. Refocus--on truth which is, with the Father, always connected to His love for me. Whatever is true. . .think about it (Philippians 4:8). TRUE Thoughts. . . to FLIP ON the Light Switch (positive side) When our Father created the world, He created it all good, with no bad. No bad. None. We think of the word "good" = kind of okay. Not so with the Father. It was best of the best! Premium! Excellent! Truly amazing! Good to the core! His whole creation = world. And His unique creation = you and I. That brings me to wood. . good to the core. My husband Stephen works with wood. He appreciates real wood as opposed to what passes for furniture today--veneer encrusted pressed saw-dust. (Is there an emoji for smiling while shaking your head?!) The picture above features some of his hand-crafted pieces. He enjoys the difference between each kind of wood, and each cut of wood's unique designs. He works with the wood's natural beauty (instead of against its grain) as he shapes it into a pen, a bowl, a desk, a bookshelf, etc. After his work with the real wood, beautiful creations emerge. He had the vision when he found the wood in the forest or in the store in its natural form. In his presentation, others can now see the beauty and strength. This is true. This is the process our Lord Jesus Christ is working in us through His Spirit. We are the pure wood. Real. Not fake or defective as negatives spoke in childhood. Good to the core. Our Lord has vision for the beauty and strength He is forming in us. BEFORE anyone else can "see" it. This is His process in us--He enjoys us, shapes us, and brings out our beauty. He is NOT condemning, judging, or criticizing us for our mistakes (as we held to negative thoughts we thought were true but were not). He actually enjoys working in us. And with us. Amazing! (How far away from "sinners in the hands of an angry God" is this?) When He's finished with creative and restorative processes, He plans to show us off--with pride and joy! These thoughts are true. Breathe. Think. Repeat. Prayer Response "Father, thank You for creating me REALLY good. Please shine Your light inside so I can see and release what I bonded to that was not true. I give You permission to remove the roots and fruits from the negatives You did not plant in my life. I give You permission to restore the good roots and fruits that were hindered in growth by the things I bonded to which I thought were true, but were not. Please give me grace to be who You created me to be, and who I want to be. Thank You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen. Jamie Rohrbaugh February 19, 2018 Have you been discouraged and stopped believing God? If so, the Lord has an on-time word for you today: “Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it!”
Yesterday, while I was feeding my one-month-old baby, I was pondering the mechanics of nursing a child. The lactation consultant at our local hospital gave me literature recently about how to get the baby to nurse well. One of the things that her literature says is that Baby has to open his mouth to 140 degrees in order to transfer milk well. That’s about as far as a human mouth will open. AND THEN I HEARD THE LORD SAY, “OPEN YOUR MOUTH WIDE, AND I WILL FILL IT!” This is a quote from Psalm 81:10. The whole verse says: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it” (Psalm 81:10). I was floored when I heard Holy Spirit say this. Why? Because just like my baby has to open his mouth ALL THE WAY in order to transfer milk, the Lord showed me that WE must open OUR mouths all the way also in order to receive from HIM. Our Papa is El Shaddai, the Many-Breasted One. In order to receive, we have to nurse at His breast. But we cannot do it if our mouths are not open ALL THE WAY. WHAT DOES “OPENING YOUR MOUTH ALL THE WAY” LOOK LIKE? For me, it looks like believing God when certain things happen, and kicking fear, doubt, and unbelief to the curb. For example, it looks like believing God to pay this ministry’s expenses every month, as well as enough wage for me for my family to meet our budget. (He has always provided, by the way.) Actually, even as I write this, I’m challenging my own faith–because “opening my mouth wide” HAS to mean believing God not just for enough, but actually believing for plenty. Plenty and enough to spare, so this ministry can expand and do more work for the Gospel, as it has continued to do. Enough for EVERY good work. It also looks like continuing to believe God for things I’ve asked for, even when my body and soul get tired of contending. Example: Last year, I asked God for a financial miracle. My husband and I agreed in prayer, wrote the vision, and sowed into it. Papa even gave me a strategy to see it happen. But this year, I have been so tired and stressed out by caring for our baby that I haven’t bothered to pray for that miracle. “Opening my mouth wide” means I need to go back to believing for what I asked for. OPENING YOUR MOUTH WIDE COULD ALSO MEAN: That we believe God for maximum favor, everywhere we go. That we expect Him to fulfill our dreams completely, and more. (After all, He’s the God who does exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think, right? Ephesians 3:20.) It means we expect all our needs to be provided for with generous, overflowing provision (Philippians 4:19). It means we expect our houses to be paid off (Deuteronomy 28:12). It means we expect to be blessed in our ministries, our jobs, our relationships, and more. “OPEN YOUR MOUTH WIDE” MEANS WE BELIEVE GOD FOR THE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM BLESSING WE CAN IMAGINE, PLUS MORE THAT WE CAN’T IMAGINE. It means we put a demand on God for everything we need and want, just like a baby puts a demand on the mother’s breast for everything he wants and needs. (Sometimes he doesn’t stop with what he needs. Sometimes he keeps nursing just because he wants …. Selah.) WHAT ARE YOU PUTTING A DEMAND ON GOD FOR? AND ARE YOU BELIEVING HIM FOR LITTLE OR MUCH? If you’re going to have faith, you might as well exercise it BIG. Why bother having faith for little? The same faith that believes God to give you a pittance could be used to believe God for abundance. It’s an insult to God for us to think He’s little. It’s an insult for us to think He’s poor, cheap, stingy, or short-handed. OUR GOD IS AN ABUNDANT GOD. He’s the Creator of Heaven and earth. And that God wants you to open your mouth wide–140 degrees, just as wide as you can get it–and expect Him to feed you. After all, as I was meditating on this, I looked at my baby and realized that I would never refuse to feed him. He’ll always have milk he wants—the milk that he’s believing me for, every time he approaches me. And I’m just a human, a created being formed of dust. But if I’m willing to give my baby all the milk he wants, is not our God willing to do far above even that? Far more for you and for me than even I am willing to do for my baby, the flesh of my flesh? Of course He is. After all, Jesus said: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11). Related: The 2018 Abundance Challenge–a new way to study the Bible regarding your finances! OUR FATHER LONGS FOR US TO APPROACH HIM LIKE A BABY APPROACHES THE BREAST. He longs for us to acknowledge Him as our source and provider. He longs for us to nurse at His breast. (Did you know that He revealed Himself to Abraham not as Commander in Chief, but as El Shaddai–the Many-Breasted One?) He longs for us to refuse to go away … …and refuse to stop crying out … …until we’ve nursed all the milk that we need. And when I say “all the milk,” I mean all the: love, healing, provision, comfort, transformation, wisdom, strength, encouragement, guidance, companionship, instruction, and more … … that we need. SO IS YOUR MOUTH OPEN WIDE? OR NOT? Again, are you believing God for much or for little? Do you expect much from Him, or little? Do you have your mouth open to the full 140 degrees, so you can transfer the milk you need into your stomach? Or do you have your mouth only open a little–or even completely shut? What’s your level of expectation? If you will open your mouth wide–all the way–and believe God and nurse at His proverbial breast, He will meet your expectations. Open your mouth wide, and He will fill it. Will you believe God for the max, starting today? Smith February 16, 2018 Jesus and His Bride Have the Same Spirit
Recently, I went into a vision and saw a beautiful woman full of golden light...and I also knew this light was her "fragrance". This fragrance was permeating out of her and into the atmosphere. It was a shield and covering, as well as an anointing from Heaven extending out. Then the Lord said, "This is My presence extending out of her and My presence is a fragrance." The vision then shifted and I saw Jesus inside of His tomb. I realized I was taken back to the very Kairos moment in time when Jesus was laying in His tomb—and I was seeing Him as He arose from the dead. This same fragrance, full of golden light, was surrounding Him as He arose. Then the Lord said to me, "This is the same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead." The beautiful woman in my vision is His Bride, and this fragrant light is His Spirit from Romans 8:11, "The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you." This same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will be pouring out of His Bride...it will extend out of us to shift atmospheres, cultures and nations. Many people who have "prayed" for a great increase in anointing will see that answered this year. Many bold and faith-filled prayers from the heart of God will be answered this year. Have you been asking the Lord for an increased anointing to heal the sick and yes, raise the dead? Keep asking in boldness as God is calling you to step out in faith and risk this year as you never have before. He is anointing His Bride for "such a time as this" to reach the lost, the hurting, the broken and even the dead (both spiritually and physically). The question is: Will we really step out in those God-inspired words from Romans 8:11? This verse could be studied out in-depth as there is so much revelation in it. He is awakening us to new life, anointing and equipping us for the "greater works" available as the same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead inside of us pours out—it is His fragrance, His presence, at work. The Challenge: Greater Works Recently, the Lord has been challenging me to "step up my faith" for the greater works. Before the new year, He asked me this question, "Will you have the faith to believe Thailand will be free from the sex-trade industry?" (For those who don't know, Thailand is my home country and where I was born.) That question stopped me in my tracks...and caused me to ponder the significance of His question. Before flippantly wanting to say, "Yes, of course!" I felt to meditate on His question during the day. I thought of the magnitude of the strongholds in Thailand against His question to me. Thailand's population is 95% Buddhist with false gods worshipped everywhere, and Christianity is less than 1%. The sex-trade is a billion-dollar industry supported by many that won't simply shut down by itself without a huge interception at top levels to take it down. Hundreds of thousands of women, men and children (millions if you include human labor trafficking) are suffering horrific damage to spirit, soul and body...how do you start in repairing all the damage done for decades and with ancient strongholds holding the region for over two thousand years? As I pondered all of this throughout the day, I had my answer to His question, "Will you have the faith to believe Thailand will be free from the sex-trade industry?" That night I answered Him and said, "I want to." I felt peace in that answer and that it was the right one. The very next morning, a pastor at our church, without even knowing any of my encounter with the Lord, gave me a prophetic word and said, "Julie, God is increasing your authority to change nations as you pray and as you go...they will shift" (paraphrased). And this also is a word for His Bride and a challenge to us, as I saw this same beautiful woman, this Bride, walking over Thailand. With these recent experiences from the Lord, I know He is calling us to think much bigger and bolder this year "above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us" (Eph. 3:20). With these visions of Jesus and His Bride, He is calling us to the "greater works" and He is telling us to "write the vision down" and challenging those who see it: "And the LORD answered me: 'Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it'" (Hab. 2:2). Our "yes" to Him activates our faith. It's time for those dreams, visions and passions to "come alive" inside of us as He breathes new life into us with "the same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead." I hope this encourages, inspires and challenges you to boldly go after what God is envisioning you to do this year and the years ahead with HIM and His Spirit! Julie A. Sandie Freed February 15, 2018 A few days before New Year's Day, I heard the Lord challenge me to "expect more in 2018!" I immediately became excited as I thought: "Well, sure...I need to expect more—more breakthrough, more finances, more favor...more of whatever I might possibly need!" I began to make a mental note of all I needed to do to keep my expectations high. I concluded that more time in Bible study, quoting more Scripture passages, and making godly decrees would be a jump start into breakthrough.
After a few minutes of brain-storming, the Holy Spirit inserted something profound. He said, "Sandie, this will not happen because of what YOU do. This will all happen because My grace will chase you down in 2018." Now, I have heard spiritual leaders refer to God's grace overtaking us—but this was the first time God actually said it to ME! It was almost like His audible voice speaking loudly and clearly. Then I had an a-ha moment. I remembered the numerous times I had heard Believers sadly confess, "... surely there's more to living the blessed life. I have tried everything I know to do and I can't seem to experience the needed breakthroughs!" (Notice all of times the word "I" was used?) I knew immediately to what they were referring—we should ALL be experiencing the fulfillment of so many of our promises from God! But, now I was beginning to see breakthrough a little differently. It would occur not because we are working hard to achieve it, but also by simply believing for the grace of God to make it happen. Grace is greater than our past...and grace will continue to work to bring us from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18). Yes, His grace is going to literally chase you down. Believer, stay with me—this message will change your life! Jesus is Our True North "Just as we could not save ourselves by our own efforts, we cannot bring about change in our lives through our own efforts. We are not saved by God's grace to be changed through religious works!" Each of us, as Believers, has a built-in compass and knows our true north in Christ. When we've sinned, we know it. When we have bad thoughts, we know it. When we stray from God, we know it. And when we know we are not experiencing all that God has promised, yep, we know it! Our internal compass always points to Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is from the Hebrew word meaning "to save, rescue and/or deliver." To say the name "Jesus" is to say, "God saves" or, "God sozo!" Jesus, our internal compass always points toward sozo—the Greek word for salvation. But sozo is more than having a born-again experience. Sozo means that we get so much more because of all that Jesus accomplished on the Cross. Jesus died to give us healing, deliverance, restoration, divine protection and (I like to say) everything Heaven has to offer! And, speaking about grace, Jesus, Himself IS Grace! Grace is a person and not simply a verb. Most of us are poised on the edge of something great. We need a door to open. We need a doctor to give us good news. We need a call from our boss saying we have a promotion. We need a child to call and say he/she is coming home. If you are still reading what I am writing, this is for you! If you need hope, this article is a message from the Lord. He is empowering you to hope again! The Woman at the Well Met Grace Most of us are familiar with the story of the woman at the well. If anyone needed grace, this woman did. She had been married five times and was living with a man who was not her husband. I have read this passage and even taught from it many times, and now I realize that Jesus "chased her down" to provide divine grace for this woman—an obvious sinner. Let me unpack this a bit for you. See if you can relate to your own need to meet grace this year: face-to-face. The account is in John 4. Jesus was leaving one place and en route to another. John explains that Jesus "had to go through Samaria." Now, back then, Jews did everything possible to avoid Samaria...but now Jesus "had to go there?" Hmm... It's interesting to me that the Jews did their best to go around that city, but oddly it says that He "had to go through Samaria." Just why is that? Because Grace was about to chase someone down. There was a woman in Samaria headed to get water at a well, and what she really needed was to meet the Well of Living Water and receive grace. Remember, grace is greater than anything—even adultery. There is nothing so terrible that grace does not cover. Yes, Jesus "had to go..." The Lord is saying to us today, "I have to go right where you are! My Grace is going to chase you down! My grace will overtake every sin, every disappointment, every issue..." It doesn't matter what condition you are in today (sinful, lustful, stingy, gossiper, betrayer, liar, thief, hurting, etc.), His grace is greater. He wants to give you "living water." It's true, we're thirsty for breakthrough, but when we drink from Him there is an eternal satisfaction and "knowing" that we can rest in Him. Yes, we can trust in the fact that He would not promise breakthrough and not provide it. If grace is truly sufficient, this means grace will continue to work in us as we move forward and accomplish divine destiny. A Year of Grace, Completion and Open Doors! For those of you who follow the Hebraic calendar, we have just shifted into the New Hebraic Year of 5778. In the Gregorian calendar, we just moved into 2018. One can study out the numbers of both years and get excited! Let's look at the significance of 5778 from a numbers perspective: The number "5" is the number for grace. The number "7" is the number for completion. The number "8" is the number for new beginnings. On the other hand, 2018 involves the numbers "2" meaning double portions, "1" meaning unity and "8" meaning new beginnings. Therefore, I believe we can easily conclude that we are moving into a season of great grace. Also, double portions await us as we come into greater unity with God and His Word. It's time to "agree" with Heaven and step into our new beginnings. Grace is God's Ability in Us! It's so important that we understand what grace really is. For many years, the Church has defined grace as "God's unmerited favor." This is a true definition however, it doesn't really explain what it really is or does; it tells us only that it is free. I love this definition that I found: "Grace is God's divine ability working in us, making us able to do what we cannot do in our own ability." Paul encouraged us in Phil 2:12-13 to "...work out our own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." For years I believed that it was up to "me" to "work hard" to not displease the Lord. However, Paul was pointing out that we should work out what has ALREADY been worked in us—our own salvation. The Greek word used here is soteria which is the noun form of sozo! This actually means that we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling because of the distrust we have in ourselves—realizing that only the grace of God can empower us to fully accomplish this task. Have you ever tried to change yourself? At the end of the day have you been frustrated and overwhelmed because you failed to witness change? One of my favorite passages concerning the message of grace is Rom. 6:14: "For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace." "He wants to give you 'living water'. It's true, we're thirsty for breakthrough, but when we drink from Him there is an eternal satisfaction and 'knowing' that we can rest in Him." If any of you know my past, you might recall that I have been a Christian for close to 60 years, but most of those years were tainted with religious legalism. I tried very hard to be pure, holy and pleasing to God—all in my own strength! At the end of every day, I was exhausted and frustrated. Why? Because I did not fully acknowledge this fact: it wasn't due to my works that I was holy and acceptable to God, but rather that I needed to accept the grace of God and the finished work of Christ at the Cross. I was holy only because I was a new creature in Christ. What I needed was to experience peace, joy and victory...and to do that was to receive and continue in God's grace. I needed to rest in the fact that God's grace would continue to work in me what I needed to be! I tried for years to open my own doors rather than resting in God and knowing that His grace was always working on my behalf. Our greatest change in life happened at the moment of salvation. In a split second everything about us changed. How did this happen? Simply by believing. The very instant that we believed God, His divine grace came into us and we were forever changed! If the greatest change we have ever experienced came because we simply believed, then why don't we continue with that simple, child-like faith? Well, could it be that we have allowed traditions of men, religion and legalism to influence our belief systems? Are we like the Galatians who Paul rebuked? Gal. 3:3-4 reminds us of the downfall of human effort: "Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?" Bottom line: to negate the finished work of Christ is sin. Yet, to remain empowered to not sin is to receive and continue in grace. Expect grace to chase you down! You may have heard this phrase before—I know I have—but this is the "NOW" time to receive it! This article is hopefully reminding all of us that when we came into salvation, the Spirit of God began a good work in us. Should we think that since we are now saved that we can finish the work in our own ability? Absolutely not! Just as we could not save ourselves by our own efforts, we cannot bring about change in our lives through our own efforts. We are not saved by God's grace to be changed through religious works! New Beginnings 2018 and 5778 We notice the number "8" (New Beginnings) in both Hebrew and Gregorian calendars. Jesus Christ desires to open every prison door that has held you captive. Allow 2018 to be your new beginning of right believing! Allow God's grace to not only empower you to change, but run to the person, Grace, today. He awaits you. He desires to answer you. Don't allow the shame and condemnation of your past to hold you captive any longer. The Scripture is clear concerning how to receive help for every need: "Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]." (Hebrews 4:16 AMP) Limitless Living in 2018 As I mentioned, I want each of you to remain hopeful! To have hope means that you have an expectation of good things to happen. Expect more than ever before. Believer, it is time to take the limits off God and yourself! God reminds us that nothing is impossible for Him! It is the year to speak to mountains that hinder your forward progression. It is the year for limitless faith and limitless living. I have written two books that I am sure will empower you in 2018. The first is Letting Go of Your Limitations: Experiencing God's Transforming Power and the second book is Faith After Failure: Reconnecting with Your Destiny. Both books will transform your life and help access power for change. You will receive grace to move past these areas: –Failure –Reliance on self –Efforts to please God on your own –Defeat –Hard hearts –Disappointment –Feeling inadequate –Rejection –Shame –Never measuring up –And more! In closing, I want to encourage you again by confidently assuring you that there is absolutely nothing that is greater than God's grace. Grace is greater than everything! "But even greater is God's wonderful grace..." (Rom. 5:15). It's going to be an awesome year for you! Expect it! April Simons February 14, 2018 I’ll never forget one Sunday, a few years back, when my perspective on life and what’s important shifted. We were all getting ready for church, just like any other Sunday. Things were going well for the most part, until one of my kids decided to flush the toilet. All of a sudden I heard Savannah scream, “Mom!” It startled me and I ran into the bathroom only to discover the toilet had overflowed and water was pouring out everywhere in the bathroom. It was awful. I was dressed, standing in my really cute shoes in a huge puddle of water. (A moment of silence for the shoes is needed.)
These aren't the actual shoes but I just thought you'd like to see my boots. You can imagine the frustration. I’m calling out for help, kids are running around—it was like a circus. Needless to say, that was only the beginning. Just a few minutes later, upstairs began to resonate with high-pitched screams, “MOM!” I ran upstairs and believe it or not, another toilet was overflowing! It was crazy. The house was in an uproar. We were running around throwing towels on the floor, kids were falling in the water and I was getting soaked. Just as we were getting it under control, my son, Garrison, yelled from downstairs, “Mom, come quick, HURRY!” We ran to the downstairs bathroom and just as we opened the door, the vent in the ceiling gave in and water began pouring down from the upstairs bathroom. It was official...the toilet demon had entered our house. Standing there, almost in disbelief that all of this had just taken place, I began to look around. I assessed the mess, calculated the loads of laundry I would be doing after church and cringed at the thought of all of us having to change clothes. The reality was, I wanted to cry. But then it happened. Suddenly, in the midst of all the mess, I began to laugh. And I don't mean just a light-hearted laugh, I mean, I was laughing from deep down. I can't even explain it because I definitely surprised myself! I think it had gotten to the point that it was so bad that it actually became funny to me. Hesitantly, my kids cracked a smile, almost as if they didn’t know if it was safe or not to laugh with me. Finally, when they realized it was ok, we all burst out into laughter while gazing at the destruction and mess before us. I'll never forget that day. In fact, I don't think any of us will. I wish I could say I always reacted that way...laughing instead of crying or yelling or both. It was only by the grace of God that it happened that way. I guess the reality is--life happens. Times get tough, things get ugly (and smelly) and often the unexpected happens. It's easy to react. Here's a thought--what if we really made an effort to do something else. What if, in the midst of all of the mess, we changed or shifted our perspective? I mean, was toilets overflowing really the end of the world for me? It might have seemed as so at the moment, but in the big scheme of life it wasn't. The reality was, I still had my family, my house and my health and we still made it to church(a little late, but we made it). Circumstances cause us to look at everything that's going wrong in our lives which takes away from everything that's going right. So, here's my challenge. It's really deep...are you ready for it? What if we actually LIGHTEN UP. Let me make it easier to understand. What if we tried to stop getting our panties in a ruffle and our boxers in a bunch. (You know which ones you are.) I love the way Reba McIntire summed it up when she said, "To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone." I couldn't agree more. I mean, let's face it folks, sometimes we get so busy with life and all that it has thrown at us that we forget to LAUGH. Laughing is a good thing! Do you know laughing 100 times has the same effect on the body as being on a stationary bike for 15 minutes? And hey, a daily dose of laughing can burn up to five pounds of fat over a year. If we would just laugh instead of worrying we’d all be skinny! If that's not enough, take a look at this: Laughter reduces stress in your life. Laughter boosts your immune system. Laughter is contagious--not only does it lift YOUR spirits, but those around you as well. Laughter is life-giving. Laughter creates a positive environment around you. Laughter makes bad situations better. The scripture says, "A merry heart does good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries up the bones." We need to remember to take a good dose of laughter every single day. You may be thinking, April, if you knew my situation, you would see there is nothing even remotely funny going on in my life right now. Well, I don't know your situation, but I do know when you can't find anything to laugh at, laugh at yourself--you probably have some really good material. Not long ago, I sent my youngest daughter a text that said, "You're right." Autocorrect changed it to "You're ugly." You know what we did? We laughed! I sent a good friend of mine a text with an encouraging message. At the end I wrote, "You're the best." I felt so good about sending her that message. I knew it was something that would brighten her day. Later that day, I read back over the message and realized I had written, "You're the Beast." Needless to say, we had a good laugh. When you can laugh at yourself there is freedom. When you can laugh at yourself it causes you to lighten up a little and quit being so serious. And as the saying goes, "Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they will never cease to be amused." Charlie Chaplin said, "A day without laughter is a day wasted." Why not make an effort today to find a moment and just laugh. Don't allow the circumstances of life to dictate how you live everyday. Choose to lighten up and smile and laugh!. Don't just live life, ENJOY LIFE! We only get one shot at this thing called life. Let's make it one worth living. And hey, just in case no one has told you lately--You're the BEAST! Have a GREAT day! April Simons www.aprilsimons.com I’m a mom of five kids, Christiana, Garrison, Savannah, Elliana and Arriella. I’m so proud of each of my kids. They love the Lord and bring such joy to my life. My one and only son is married to a beauty, Franchesca, and they have the most beautiful baby in the world, Penelope…and yes, she has stolen my heart! I travel and speak for a living and I absolutely love it. But when I’m home, I’m home. Family, to me, is everything. I love the Mother Teresa quote, “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” That’s what I strive for every single day. My most important mission field is my family. Other than speaking, I love design, fashion, travel, outdoors, and anything that promotes healthy living. Oh, and I do really, really love long romantic walks down the shoe aisle! A Season of Great Turnarounds Helen Madeline February 13, 2018 The Lord has been speaking to me and saying that we are entering into a season of "GREAT TURNAROUNDS". The transforming work of the Lord is about to be lifted to new heights and will get the attention of all people as a wave of great turnarounds sweeps across the nations with a strategic Kingdom-alignment taking place on Earth.
An Abrupt or Unexpected Change I was prompted to look up the meaning of the word "TURNAROUND": an abrupt or unexpected change, especially one that results in a more favorable situation. Then He said, "This turnaround will shift the atmosphere in people's lives and will cause a shaking—a pressure—but don't fight it, trust Me! For I am the God who works all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Come into My arms, yield your heart to Me and I will lead you; you will see My transforming power and love as I set you on track and increase your territory." Then I saw God reach down and place His hand on heads. This included heads of government and business, heads of churches and ministries, and heads of families and individuals. As He did this, a shaking took place as He firmly held the heads and turned people around 180 degrees. In that moment, wrong attitudes, wrong decisions and wrong opinions were corrected and made right. Demonic strongholds over these heads were being broken. People were turning from darkness to light and being restored as this Kingdom alignment took place. "I am righting the wrongs caused by darkness. What satan has intended for evil I will transform in this season of great turnaround. This turnaround will turn heads and jaws will drop in amazement and awe, as people see and hear of My power and love for them." Prepare the Way for the Risen Lord I sensed an acceleration taking place as an angelic presence began to fill the Earth. Then I heard the words, "Prepare the way for the Risen Lord" ringing out. "A voice of one calling: 'In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low, the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together...'" (Isaiah 40:3-5 NIV) I saw angels filling the streets, corridors and homes. The atmosphere and presence of these angels was so thick as they stood shoulder to shoulder—like guards—forming what looked to be a cushioned wall of protection that lined each pathway. Every path was strategically placed as they covered the Earth. As the wave of great turnaround moved throughout the Earth, I saw scrambled paths of confusion, dead-ends and darkness being straightened, lit up and lined by a wall of angels. The paths were narrowed, but covered far greater ground and territory. These paths were lined with pages of Scripture, and people were walking on the Word of God (Ps. 119:105). Holding on to God's Promises Then I saw angels prompting people to pick up and take hold of specific pages. They were taking hold of truths and God's promises (Prov. 4:10-15). As they did I saw their path extending further and further, and the angels started to sing out the words, "Advance, advance," and the paths continued to extend, and more territory was taken for Kingdom advancement. "Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long."
